The goal for vendors at a trade show is to attract people to their booth. Having an intriguing and eye catching display will bring buyers to your booth. Here are some tips for getting creative with trade show displays that attract buyers to your booth:

Make Your Message Clear

Make sure to explain what you are selling or what service you provide. So often vendors are not clear about what it is they do and instead of stopping to ask, they just pass right by. Have a sign with your company name and logo and make a power point presentation that explains all about your company and display it on a large monitor on the wall or table of your booth.Always make sure to have literature and business cards on your table with information about your company.

Promotional Product Gifts

Entice buyers to come to your booth with free giveaways, candy has always been a traditional giveaway, but think outside the box and make sure that what you give away  is relevant to your company and helps them remember your company. This can be achieved with promotional products, of course since they help people not only remember your company, but also think higher of your company and increase the chances they will make a purchase. In addition, promotional gifts are kept for a long period of time, often longer than 12 months.

Food and Drink Offerings

Food has been proved to attract buyers to your booth. If possible include a branded wrapper or tag along with the goodies so that they have your name and booth number. Packaged cookies and sweets are big show stoppers, but depending on your company culture, you might want something more healthful like granola, popcorn, or water bottles.

Gift Certificates and Prize Giveaways

Everyone always wants to win something. Having a drawing or giveaway not only attracts people to your booth, but you can collect their information for future marketing use to keep in touch with them.

Spokesperson

When it is finally show time, you are in your booth with sales people and inevitably multiple people show up all at the same time and there are not enough sales people for buyers. When you have a spokesperson, whether it is a model, someone in costume, or even a magician, they can entertain your guests while they are waiting to speak to a salesperson. So make sure your spokesperson is trained for double duty, not just attracting people to the booth, but taking care of them when they get there.
