When you are looking for a good place to showcase your business why not take advantage of the many events that are already taking place around your community. You will find that most communities offer up annual free events that the entire community and all the local businesses get on board for. It is a great opportunity to get your business name and information out and about in the community.
Some events that you will probably find may include some type of job fairs, career days, hoedowns, trick or treat events, harvest events, Christmas Parades, Easter Egg Hunts, and Fourth of July Festivals. Many of these events are free to those that live within the community and the local agencies that sponsor these events will many times accept any group that volunteers to come out and set up a booth.
Whether you are volunteering to run a ride or serve up drinks, be sure to have your employees dressed up in logo printed attire, like t-shirts and hats to help advertise for your business. If you have your own booth then you can set up using a promotional table cloth, sign, and maybe some other types of giveaway items that you think would be appropriate for the event. This can really help to boost business and even if the event really doesn’t correlate back to your business giving away free stuff will definitely get their attention and you will get some calls from those giveaway items down the road.
Contact your local Chamber of Commerce or Parks and Recreation Department to get more information about the different community events that will be taking place throughout the year. Remember there are many opportunities to make an impression on your community and these events can give you just the boost you need for a more successful coming year.
